I watched a gymnast triple her pull-up max in 8 weeks. Not by grinding more reps. Not by adding weight plates. Not by following some "proven" progressive overload protocol. She did it by learning to undo what years of "proper training" had taught her body to do. Here's what happened: Sarah came to me stuck at 3 pull-ups for over a year.
